Take a 1-2hrs ride through the sand dunes, along the beach and skim the Gulf of Mexico. The Island Equestrian Center has horses that are appropriate for all riding levels. In fact, children and first time riders are their specialty - they have horses specially trained to accommodate them. One thing you should know is that their ride is not a trail ride (they do not ride in a single file) - it's much more! Their guides accompany the group to give basic instruction to novice riders and to watch out for the safety of everyone. All riders are given an opportunity to trot and lope the horses. Each rider can make his/her own decision and that's something that makes this experience very unique.
